Yugoslavia - 1936

Yugoslavia participated in the Berlin Games with 86 athletes in 11
sports: athletics, cycling, water polo, gymnastics, rowing, sailing,
canoe/kayak, fencing, swimming, wrestling and diving.
The only medal was won by gymnast Leon Štukelj,
who ranked second in the rings. Štukelj finished his Olympic career in
Berlin with a total of six medals – three golds, one silver and two
bronzes.
This feat won him the title of the most successful Yugoslav Olympian of
all time.
Yugoslavia ranked 27th on the list of medal-winning nations.
