Yugoslavia - 1932

Officially the Yugoslav Olympic Committee did not register any of its
athletes for the Los Angles Games, nor did it register
doctor Veljko Narančić, who competed in the
discus throw and ranked 17th with 36,51 m among 18 participants from 11
countries.
Narančić was registered by Milivoje Naumović, the Yugoslav consul in San
Francisco, and the Organising Committee accepted the application after
Sigfrid Edstrom, the president of the International Amateur Athletic
Federation, gave his consent.
Thanks to this breach of Olympic rules, Yugoslavia kept the continuity
of participation in the Summer Olympic Games from 1912 to 2000.
